About Watrem

A quieter way to shop for practice goods.

Watrem is a curated shop for the objects people use in meditation, ritual and rest: singing bowls, stones, incense, teaware, cushions and the small tools of a daily practice. We source each piece from workshops and studios in Japan, China and the United States, and check it against our own standards before it goes on our shelves.

Why we built it

Shopping for practice goods online is noisy. The same item appears under a dozen names, listings make promises no object can keep, and it is hard to know what you are really buying. Watrem aims for the opposite: fewer, better pieces, plain descriptions, and honest information about materials and origin.

How we choose

  • Checked before listing. We review every product's materials, photos, wording and safety information. We do not describe any product as a medical or health treatment.
  • Organized by practice. Browse by what you are working on, by type of object, or by the tradition a piece comes from.
  • Clear about origin. Each product shows the studio or source line it comes from and how long delivery takes from where it ships.
  • One checkout, 30-day returns. Every order can be returned within 30 days.

Our studios and sources

The names you see on our products, such as Celadon Hall and Retreats Edge, are the studios and source lines we work with. Watrem is the seller of every item on this site and stands behind every order.

A note on health

The objects on Watrem are made for personal practice, such as meditation, sound, ritual and rest. They are not medical products and are not a substitute for care from a doctor or other qualified health professional. If you have a health concern, please see a professional first.
